Vaccinations:
Recent research into vaccination effectiveness has
resulted in recent changes in the American Animal
Hospital Association’s (AAHA’s) vaccination
recommendations. For the latest and most up-to-date
vaccination protocols and recommendations, ask Dr.
McKee!
Senior Care:
You can add many years to the life of your pet by
enrolling your pet in our Senior Care Program. The
program includes frequent bloodwork to detect changes
early, aggressive dental care to prevent bacterial
infections, and more frequent physical exams. Ask a
staff member how to enroll your pet in our Senior Care
Program
PennHIP Evaluations
PennHIP (University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement
Program) is a method of evaluating the laxity of the hip
joint in dogs, which in turn measures a dog's tendency
to develop hip dysplasia. PennHIP provides more
reliability and predictability than OFA (Orthopedic
Foundation of America) evaluations. For more information, click on the link below:

Laser Surgery:
Dr. McKee has decided to make laser surgery part of her
standard of care. Laser surgery offers less pain, less
blood loss, less swelling and faster healing times for
your pet. Ask a staff member today about laser surgery
for your pet.
Orthopedic Surgery:
Dr. McKee has extensive experience with fracture
fixation as well as repairing cranial cruciate ligament
tears in dogs. She has attended a number of continuing
education wet labs, and has a good success rate using
this technique.
Dental Care:
Dental care is emerging as one of the most critical and
neglected areas of pet health. Bacteria and tartar
buildup causes gum disease and bad breath. As the
bacteria buildup continues, bacteria enters the
bloodstream and travels to other organs, especially the
liver and kidneys, causing disease in those organs and
significantly shortening your pet’s life. Preventing
this disease process includes a thorough oral exam,
periodic dental prophylaxes here at VetCare Montana with
our state-of-the-art ultrasonic cleaner, and daily
brushing by you. Call us today to schedule an
appointment for your pet to determine if they need a
dental prophylaxis at this time, and to learn how to
brush your pet’s teeth!
Pet Insurance
Pet Insurance is available from several different
sources. These programs offer a way for you to limit
your financial liabilities should your pet become
seriously ill or injured. Several levels of coverage are
available. Ask a member of our staff about Pet Insurance
